Dan Allison

It was quite evident that music would play an important role in his life from an early age: when taken to see The Little Mermaid, 5-year-old Dan was so moved by "Under the Sea" that he got up and began dancing in the aisles. "I should have known then...," a lament shared by his mother and now countless others.

Dan grew up singing in church choirs, performing in local shows, and generally trying his best to entertain anyone he could.  He has a long history of roping others in to assist him (read: carry him) in his endeavors as well, beginning with finding a friend to learn "Who's On First?" in third grade.

He pursued any vocal performance opportunities he could find in high school, from musicals to classical art song training to regional and national auditioned choirs, and more in between.  He continued this trend in college, attending the University of Connecticut where he obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Music.

Hesitant to find that elusive "real job," he successfully procrastinated for several years by becoming a founding member of Blend Tech, a professional a cappella group that toured North America and Europe exclusively aboard Celebrity Cruise Line.

Currently he is a church choir director and continues to perform both choral and solo repertoire with several musical organizations.  He moonlights as a lab manager and engineering assistant for an engineering company focusing on industrial, automotive, and consumer product accident reconstruction. Obviously.
